Togainu No Chi Yaoi Game English
Imagine being falsely accused of committing a murder and having to serve a lifelong sentence in prison because of it. This happens to both Akira (Togainu no chi) and Ganta (Deadman Wonderland) and they both have a 'chance' to make the best of their sentences by fighting others in some sort of survival game. Even though Togainu no chi has a lot of shounen-ai elements that Deadman Wonderland doesn't have, I think these anime are similar when it comes to genre. (Both are action and sci-fi anime) In any case, you'll be seeing enough fights, blood and despair to last you for a while. Both are produced by Nitro+Chiral so that should make it obvious that there would be many similarities. Both are anime based on a visual novel of the same name and both have shounen-ai content although the games have a lot more of this as well as more violence and blood as a lot of this was censored in the anime adaption (especially in Togainu No Chi's case).
Togainu no Chi. Game story: A wrongfully accused Akira is facing the fight of his life. To gain his freedom back he must fight the strongest man – the King. This all happens in Japan after the third World War. Vishio is the crime organization that took over after the war.
They both have similar themes and even the characters are similar in some ways exp. The relationship between Akira (Protag) and Keisuke (Childhood friend character) reminds me of how Clear behaves with Aoba. Also, if you liked the overall game-theme DRAMAtical Murder provided, Togainu No Chi also has this in a sense, the protag is involved in a street game called Bl@ster and without giving any spoilers the entire series is set in a game of life and death in itself.
Another thing to mention is both are set in similar yet opposite settings, both are set in a cityscape type setting, the main difference is you can think of Togainu No Chi as a more apocalyptic or dark version of the futuristic setting you see in DMMd. Perdarahan subarachnoid. The characters are suppose to defeat and slaughter their enemies with the upmost success, but feel nothing from the destruction and violence. The plot is scattered, with rather irrelevant twists. They literally bring up a twist that they never gave a hint at all. They both involve a character trapped in a fake world, and struggling to escape the destruction with allies on the way, and tragedies in love and the such. The main characters are strong, but are attempting to face a greater threat then they are in anyway they can.
The story of both stories, end with a cliffhanger.
