Samsung T32e310 32 Led Tv Manual
I have selected 2 TVs I like but unfortunately there isn't one combining the best of the 2! I want to have a TV for the bedroom, so 32' will be sufficient and want it to be a smart TV and fairly future proof. Dilwale dulhania le jayenge hd mp4 movie. I like the idea of having catch-up TV and maybe even have the freetime/freeview play (whatever the difference is). I have however never used freetime and therefore don't know if worth having. My dilemma is, the Panasonic TV with freetime is only HD ready 720p.
However, the TV will be in a bedroom and about 3-4 metres away so not sure if 720p vs 1080p really matters but even years ago I wouldn't have bought less than the full HD 1080p. The Samsung has a much better spec and is 1080p and nearly a third cheaper! The samsung mentions a motion rate of 60Hz and Processing rate of 400Hz, not sure what that means, is it a 60Hz TV then? The Panasonic is motion rate of 100Hz and Processing rate 100Hz??

I am open to suggestions for other TVs! I've never seen a T32E390SX in my life (Currys special?), but its appears to be a very similar panel spec to the J5500, perhaps slightly better (that 400hz is actually PQI - and is slightly above 100hz in old money).
Looks like the J5100 with a slightly better panel and smart. Thats a good sprice for the spec, but the J5500 (with an extra HDMI) is currently £259. Dont care much about 720 v 1080 in the bedroom - its nice to have it, but its not the end of the world. The Panasonic is OK, but I'd probably go Samsung. Ok that makes sense then the 400PQI. I agree with you, not seen that TV anywhere else and being at Currys today, they were all out of stock on pre-order but more to come. It is very good price for the spec.
I have never used freetime before. Is it really worth having. What is All4, all the channels from the group, Ch4, E4, more4. Or is it easy enough to just use the normal catch up bbc player type. The TV is for a bedroom but was just unsure about the 720p vs 1080p as in the shop the samsung did seem to have a sharper picture.

The stand is not the steadiest but at this price expected this not to be perfect. It is however perfect as a bedroom TV. Connected via HDMI for my gaming console and the sound and image is great. Sound can however be a bit distorted at higher volumes. Also works great when switching over to regular television.
