I've already been informed by a Garmin Product Support Specialist that, 'Unfortunately, once a track has been deleted, there is not a way to recover the track.' Being too tired and hot while editing a track, I highlighted a few points at the beginning of the track and hit delete. Unfortunately the entire track was deleted from BaseCamp on my Mac and the GPS.

I don't recall the 'Undo' button being available after the fact. I believe it was dim. So, am I completely out of luck and should merely chalk this error up as a learning experience or is there a way to retrieve the deleted track? This is when I miss having a trash bin to give me another chance to change my mind. The track on the device itself would have been a separate.gpx file. I don't have a 62, but I think all the new units are similar.

The current (unsaved) track should be found in the Current.gpx file. If you saved the track and gave it a name, that should be in a.gpx file of the same name. Have you looked for these on the device's internal memory? There are utility programs that may be able to recover deleted files. It's been awhile, but I remember Disk Warrior had some ability to do this. But since the 62 is formatted as a DOS disk, not sure if it would work. You might need to use a Windows utility program instead.

My new Garmin GPSMap 62 will no longer turn on. It goes to the Garmin boot-up screen then the screen fades. I've tried replacing the batteries and plugging it in to my computer, but nothing.
